Amagraf Supports the Polish Culture Abroad

Amagraf has been involved in many Polish industry-related initiatives for many years. This year the company expanded its activities with supporting the Polish culture out of the country. Recently Amagraf supported the 11th Belgrade Chopin Fest, devoted to Frédéric Chopin and his music. The event was organized in several locations in Serbia from 10 to 15 of October. Piotr Alwingier, co-owner of Amagraf, underlines it was a great opportunity for promoting Poland and the city of Zgierz – hometown of his company. As he adds, the Serbian market offers a huge potential for the Polish manufacturers of printing solutions offered by Amagraf.

Leszek Mozdzer, the outstanding jazz pianist from Poland was the special guest of the Belgrade Chopin Fest several years ago.

The Belgrade Chopin Fest, organized for 11 years, is important part of the entire Serbian musical scene. Similarly to its previous editions, it included many concerts held in the capital city of Belgrade (e.g. in Kolarac Endowment - the biggest concert hall in Serbia; the crypt of St. Mark's Church and the Kolarac Music Gallery) as well in other significant Serbian locations: the Synagogue in Novi Sad and The First Kragujevac Gymnasium. This year’s festival gathered outstanding pianists from Canada and Serbia as well as numerous young talented artists from Serbia and the Balkan area.

The 11th Belgrade Chopin Fest was inaugurated by the concert of Charles Richard- Hamelin from Canada (who won the 2nd award at the Chopin International Competition in 2015), preceded by a common, welcome speech from Rafal Perl – Ambassador of Poland and Milenja Reljic – Director of Belgrade Chopin Fest. The event, fully recorded by the public RTS television, concluded by the recitals of Nebojsa Maksimovic, Milan Miladonovic and Mihajlo Zurkovic.

The event hosted many guests, including representatives of a diplomatic corps, the Serbian government, cultural and academic institutions as well as numerous music fans. Piotr Alwingier, co-owner of Amagraf, was one of the special guests of the event. “It was a real pleasure to participate and support this important cultural event – he says. – It was a great opportunity to promote our country and the Lodz region but also to establish new business contacts and find new local partners. We found out that the Serbian market has a huge potential so we’re very keen to promote the Polish solutions from our offer (including Ikonos consumables and Coner equipment) in this perspective market. Besides future-proof business activities in Serbia, we’re planning to establish a partnership between Zgierz – our hometown with Novi Sad and Belgrade cities. We’re convinced it will be a fruitful co-operation for other Polish companies, too. We hope this initiative will be started very soon”.

Milenija Reljic adds: „As organizer of the Belgrade Chopin Fest since 2012, I’m very happy to announce a success of its 11th edition. We organized five fantastic and warmly acclaimed concerts in Belgrade and Novi Sad. The next one will be held in Kragujevac on November 3. The Polish Embassy in Belgrade has supported us from the beginning but this year it was joined by the private sector. I wish to warmly thank Mr. Piotr Alwingier and the Amagraf company for supporting the festival as well as Mr. Aleksandar Mijailovic and his Serbian-based Fiori-Factory company – general sponsor of the Belgrade Chopin Fest. During eleven years we have successfully sustained thebasic mission of the festival: presenting work and music of the great Polish composer Frédéric Chopin; promoting top class art and pianism and – last but not least – supporting young talented people from Serbia and the Balkan region. We’re very glad about continuing our co-operation with Amagraf and Fiori-Factory companies as well as with the city of Zgierz”.
